Helping school districts achieve college readiness goals since 1995
SureScore focuses its efforts on boosting college and career ready students from Grades 3 - College. Founded in 1995, SureScore has worked to provide excellent customer service to its clients through customized Test Prep and College Readiness initiatives delivered directly into the classroom.
SureScore works with over 250 Texas School Districts and is expanding throughout the United States including Washington, Florida, and Louisiana. The SureScore team works in collaboration with its partners to achieve their goals.
Thousands of students begin their senior year in high school without clearly defined goals of where they want to apply to college, and this is especially true of low-income students. SureScore was founded by Roy Nieto and Samuel Segura in 1995 with a passion to help first-generation college applicants achieve their college dreams. Roy graduated from Southwestern University and worked with the National Hispanic Institute running a college prep program called the Collegiate World Series. Sam Segura was a National Merit Scholar and taught SAT and ACT prep during college. The two individuals wanted to bring equity and access to the college admissions process, and they launched SureScore as a vehicle to see their dream come to fruition. Sam left SureScore a few years later while Roy continued to pursue the goal. SureScore started with a small group of students in South Texas, and quickly grew to one of the premier test prep providers in Texas and beyond. Since its launch, SureScore has worked with over one million students across Texas, Washington, New York, Illinois, and Florida.
SureScore focuses its efforts as a partner with its clients to clearly understand district goals, and then provides training, curriculum, and project management support to ensure goals are achieved. We love helping our clients solve their test prep problems and change lives through the best college prep experience possible.
Over the past 15 years, SureScore students have averaged a 3.1 points per student increase on the ACT, and a 179-point increase on the SAT. TSI results range as high as an 80% passing rate when appropriately targeted through the SureScore benchmark assessment.
Note:Results are based upon a minimum of 24 hours of test preparation within 6 weeks of an official exam.
