Austin-Based SureScore Receives Inc. 5000 Recognition for Fourth Consecutive Year

AUSTIN, Texas — Inc. magazine ranked Austin-based SureScore, a leading provider of college readiness solutions, as one of the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in the nation, marking the fourth consecutive year that the company has been included in the exclusive list.
This year SureScore ranks number 40 in the education industry, number 53 in Austin, and 2636 overall on the 2011 Inc. 5000 Rankings
The Inc. 5000 are the nation’s most successful private companies, ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2007 through 2010. The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy-America’s independent-minded entrepreneurs.
Even in a stagnant economic environment, the companies on this year’s list have created more than 350,000 jobs in the last three years and have an aggregate revenue of $366 billion, an increase of 14 percent from last year. Businesses named to the Inc. 5000 list must be U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit, independent companies. Revenue in 2007 must have been at least $100,000, and revenue in 2010 must have been at least $2 million. The Inc. 5000 are responsible for creating more than 370,000 jobs in the last three years, making the list perhaps the best example of the impact private, fast-growing companies can have on the economy.
